Michel & Associates is a full service landscape architectural, site planning and land development planning firm located in Glen Cove, Long Island, New York.Michel & Associates was established in 1982.
With its staff of landscape architects, civil engineer, architect and environmentalist, Michel & Associates assimilates the approach of these disciplines in its analysis and planning. The impact of these four environmentally based disciplines has afforded the firm a broad range of project experience, and areas in which it is called on for expertise.
Michel & Associates provides services in the area of environmental analysis, planning and site engineering. The firms project experience has included planning for: recreation, housing, campus and urban planning, corporate offices, commercial properties and other public facilities.The firm has been retained for term contracts with numerous public agencies and municipalities. This has included Community Development agencies, Public Housing Authorities and Municipalities.
Michael A. Michel has been the principal of Michel & Associates since its forming in 1982. He graduated from The College of Environmental Science and Forestry at Syracuse with a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture Degree in 1978. In addition, he also graduated from Syracuse University with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture in 1977 and Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies. Currently he is an adjunct associate professor at New York Institute of Technology where he teaches courses in Landscape Architecture.
Michael A. Michel is licensed as a Landscape Architect in New York and certified in New Jersey. He is also a member of The American Society of Landscape Architects. Michel & Associates is a sole proprietorship owned wholly by Michael A. Michel. The firm is a certified MBE in New York State and New York City. The firm is also certified 8a by the Small Business Administration and the New York, New Jersey and Connecticut Department of Transportation.
